been on here a little while, planning on going to the corsa sport mk meet so decided to make a project thread as well.
got the corsa for free off a friend, had been sat on their drive for a year booked it in for an mot all it needed was a new handbrake cable
started doing small mods like foot well lights and side lights also replaced the dials for a set with a rev counter and fitted blue led's to them.
when i first got the car

first thing i did is back to black the bumpers

all the leds:

in a moment of madness painted the steelies white, just about see the dent in the rear quarter, had this when i got it:

got some new seats

gave it a wash with the friends escort, i like the tinted lights, would prefer mhw's but cant afford them yet

fitted some depos:

then this happened.

copied form allcorsa:
hopefully will be a repair thread, started stripping it down today, hopefully people can help me, like what i will need to buy to repair it.
Cheers
Dan

first i removed the crash bar

main damage not too sure what i can do with it

i did manage to get the slam panel a bit straighter which also straightened the main damage a bit

also damaged the power steering pipe but it doesn't leak, guess i should still replace it

also the radiator is also out now

lot more work has been done:
pushed the slam panel back up and pulled it out, looks close to how it use to be

tried shoving a bar in to bend it back out, this didn't work, any other ideas?

took the bonnet off and stood on it, almost back in the right place

might be back on the road sooner than i thought

copied from allcorsa:
almost looks like nothing has happened

new radiator and crash bar on the way and ASM have a front bumper for £30 so might get that

fitted the new crashbar now to put the bumper on

couldnt for the life of me get the new bumper on, thought all the mounts were the same?
so i just put the old one back on, it will do i suppose

and found this jammed in the bumper bit like the heart broken symbol

well its all back together, so happy to be back out on the road, still need a new grill and bonnet but at least it works

not really a good fit but it will have to do

my planned one day job to change the water pump and cam belt took two days
just got in frozen solid need to fill up coolant still as the taps outside are frozen

lowered the front today, might lower the back tomorrow, front splitter is very annoying because it is solid scrapes everywhere

bottomed out on every bump on the way to college, front splitter didn't last long

hopefully gsi bumper will be going on soon, also new bonnet but it needs spraying

got bored of repairing the gsi bumper so gave up and put it on, doesn't look too bad, really need to put the new bonnet on.

anyone got some 70mm springs? im thinking of raising up the front

sooooo low, when i have no music on i can hear the splitter scraping almost all the time

anyone know if the shocks are shortened? i want to raise it abit but Adam said the springs were sold to him as 60mm

thought i would take some pictures of it before i raise the suspension. the car looks shit like always but i can afford to repair it to an higher standard, new bonnet is home but havnt resprayed it yet

also tried out the mini camera from adam, skip to 3:25 for best bit
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t__SILwx-k0&feature=plcp&context=C3580e26UDOEgsToPDskI0dzkezGcdqMLAs9EdZyVH

right, fitted the new bonnet today, paint finnish is shocking but its better than having a dented/rusty bonnet
Old bonnet:

new one top old one bottom

new one on

the new bonnet makes the front end damage much more visible

sits nice and straight down the side

and not so well lol

decided im not going to fit my gsi side skirts to this as im planning on replacing this car as soon as i can afford it, might be getting some cav slabs soon but that will be the end of updates

and this is how its currently sitting

well its still here, hopefully have a bargain of a corsa lined up but not for a few months.
changed the wheels from white to black with a flo- yellow lip, paints reacted so could do with redoing but wont do yet.
paint was also flaking off my gsi bumper so have put the original back on here are some pics

rewired my alarm because it stopped working, found out a wire had broken, repaired that.

also painted my needles the same as the wheels

not sure if white dials will suit it though?

also got three of these alloys sat around in the barn, what do people think?

will have some more updates soon

also forgot to add just bought a new boot lock surround as mine has no badge
amped my rear 6X9's with a rockford fosgate punch 40 amp, fantastic bit of kit sounds amazing and got it at a bargain of a price as it came with a full wiring kit (4awg) and loads of heavy duty speaker wire and some distribution blocks, whole lot together cost £30

i have rewired it since that picture
and fitted a new head unit, really like it because it has a sd card reader

still should have another update next week

the needles look really good at night, they kinda glow in with the blue backlights, camera couldnt pick it up too well though
