Right, why won't the alarm go off?

I thought it might be App Killer stopping it, but the alarm was re-ticked and it's still not going off.

Can anyone help?

You sure the alarm volume isn't set to zero? Seen a fair number of people complain and it was user error

To change -
Open clock app > Select Timer > Click "Alert Sound" > Check the Volume rocker > Click "Snooze" sound

Also, what App Killer are you using? Might be worth attempting to disable/uninstall it and see if that is at fault.

And you can check to make sure it isn't the phone 'sleeping' that is causing the issue - before you set the alarm go to Settings > Applications > Development > Stay Awake which will prevent the phone from sleeping (just make sure you've got it on charge).

Failing that, grab the AlarmDroid app.

Cool!! Seriously, thank you.

I'll go through these options later and hopefully I'll sort it out.

I can't find this option.

Tested last night and it worked once, but twice afterwards it didn't sound.

Weird

Alarm volume was set. And it was ticked to go of in silent mode. The advanced task killer free doesn't seem to be killing any clock thing.

Only option is to try an alarm app

Seems to be a known problem on Android phones.

Doesn't affect all Android handsets, so it could be anything causing it. As Pow said, reset the phone back to factory and take it from there. Also make sure it's up-to-date (what version is it running anyway?) and don't use any task management apps.

Edit - As for the 'snooze sound' option, i'm going off memory as i haven't got an Android phone to hand. But there will be an option around for the Alarm; have a browser around the Settings/Ringer.

Cheers, I'll try resetting it. How hard is it to back up an HTC? I've no software for this phone.

Will it fuck up all the angry birds games and stuff?

The alarm volume was set properly. It's actually fucking up, it starts to go off and quickly silents itself.
Always worked in the past and there's been nothing new added to it.

You can get an angry birds backup app that will save the progress files to an SD card. Just in case

PS my Desire HD, SGII, Desire alarms all worked great. Must be your Linda McCartney sausage fingers.
