Jesue christ, 23 years old, same age as me.

My grandad went to the same hospital when he had a heart attack, very good place to be, one of the best.

As a York fan it doesnt half hit home. We had a player, David Longhurst, die on the pitch, 1990. He was only 25. It's ridiculous to think you can be fine, running around one minute and fighting for your life the next. It's kept me up most the night, I should be overjoyed my team has reached Wembley again but this news has put in perspective how little it means in the grand scheme of things.

Really, really hope he pulls through.

It's the same thing really, stable just means he isn't getting worse, doesn't imply he is getting any better.

Slightly poor taste to guess on what caused it but I wonder if it was brain related, rather than heart which I'd assume was most peoples first thoughts.

Just read he's been taken to the heart attack centre at Bethnell Green, guess that does sorta point towards heart problems

Boltons game on Tuesday is off.

Latest on Sky news is that it took them 2 hours to get his heart going again

I'm really gutted about this. Always seemed like a decent bloke and he is way to young to be going through this. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Im now worried about brain damage if he pulls through, heart stopped for so long can really cause problems with his brain.

Just hoping he comes through it ok

If his heart stopped for 2 hours then theres no question his brain will be damaged. Really feel for him.

It really doesn't sound good for him. I know my grandad wasn't right after his heart was stopped for ten mins. Apparently anything over 5 mins and you risk brain damage.

his brain shouldnt be damaged should it as they had been giving him oxygen as soon as they got to him, thought if he didnt have oxygen for 6mins (i think it is) he would of suffered brain damamge, not sure but its a mention

Not sure how it works but just because they have given him oxygen doesn't mean that the oxygen was getting to his brain. The heart needs to be pumping the blood round.
