Just did a bit work on my engine frame... I love working on it. Going to tell her to gtf...

Although my mate did point out I could probably get a r33 gtr

Not to safe to put a baby in a 2 seater! Most modern ones have an airbag for a start which you cant turn off and when they are in a fwrd facing seat i think it is illegal for them to be in the front; if not illegal strongly not advised

well:

so far..
£750 for car
£250 for fibre glass bonnet and boot
£150 for engine and box
£150 so far in steel
£300 for seats although i swapped something for them
=
£1600

to do...
£500 soda blast
£800 quarters
£500 blasting and powdercoating bits
£1500 respray
£300 for guages ect
£500 in replacement bits.. brake lines ect
£2000 engine tuning
=
£7100

grand total
£8700

obv all rough guestimates

You've spent 1600 quid, not the extra £7000, have it as a long standing project, spend some of it on a family car and be responsible?

if you spend £8k on a car, that won't be the end of it you will spend more, imagine £8k into the imp and that could be the end of it.

you will get more satistfaction from the imp imo, buying an £8k toy/car, you will get bored of most suggestions here and the toy will become just another car.

I think car hobbies these days are about building your own thing, not buying a 5yr old car and bolting internet mods to it

I would keep the Imp. But 2k on engine tuning? Get in classifieds and find a decent Inlet, set of cams and get an exhaust manifold made up (if a Corsa one won't fit) and you're looking at well less than a grand!

got to agree here not much of this going on when you look now most people just buy a car already done have it for 6-8 month and flog it on.

stick with you imp mate and go for it all the way
