my mrs thinks i should sell the imp and buy a car i can use now and transport my future child in..

i love the imp but am really missing having a fast car to drive..

she is pregnant and has a nissan note which we can use as a family, so whatever i got wouldnt have to be practicle or good on fuel as it would simply be a toy... just as the imp was intended

id have £8k max to spend and that would include insuring it.. im 23 and can insure most things for around £1k now. vx220 turbo ect...

IF and its a big IF i was to get rid of the imp, what could i get for my money..?

criteria:
fast
not fwd
newish with less than 60k miles
look nice
4 seats is a bonus but id have a 2 seater also
insurable
petrol
not a barge

persaude me to keep the imp and crack on and moan constantly about not having a car

or

persaude me to get a new car and sell my beloved imp

You have to sell the car and get 1 to transport your future child in, but you would have a 2 seater?

How about a bmw of some sort?

Sorry but what is an "imp" - Looks like Imprezza but that would be perfect for what you need.

7k buys a 2002/03 STI.

E: 23 ! Thought you was about 40 the way you go on sometimes

Not reading the thread. Keep the imp tell her to either:

A) get the bus
B) buy her own car.
