when boost kicks in you will expect the car to pick up speed more quickly and depending on power shoot off if the ECU is a xe ecu it will not be maped of respond to the turbo and the car will have a lot of lag so will under perform due to the ecu not being able to take the responce from the turbo.

on the other hand if it is the case that everything but loom and ecu are the only things missing iirc a remap could solve the problem but then why didnt he do it him self tread lightly mate with it just in case

Id never entertain a so called LET on an XE ECU. It hasn't got a map sensor in the ECU for the boost to regulate on command or to talk to the fuel chip and air flow info. It will det like fuck on high rpm.

Stay away buddy

If it has all Let pistons etc why didnt he just put Let loom and ecu on aswell for the sake of around £200.

Mine was an Xe converted LET. Done properly with correct Ecu etc it was fine. Made good power too.

However i wouldnt touch a modified car with an engine swop with engine numbers ground off. If the plod stop you and question your mods and find a ground off engine number thats a whole headache.

Not to mention that sounds like a fucking heap
