So went down to prestige today as planned . Got the car in the booth , removed the seats and other little bits . Keyed everything up and got the car prepped ! Pictures of it prepped

So with the car prepped sam mixed up the paint and got going !!

Right so with the paint all done it was time for lacqour , i didnt get any photos of it in the booth but this is were the problems began . We didnt respray the rear as there was no point as it was still perfect so we just keyed it up and the plan was to just re lacqour it ! Well sam cracked on and everuthing was going brialliantly until we got to the bits were the rear doorcards cover and it just went tits up from there ! So we put it on bake and let it dry then started to sand it down to repaint and re lacqour the rear but ran of time so will be done next weekend now ! Only got one photo to show what went wrong .

Its the same on the other side but worse , for some reason the lacqour just hasnt taken in the areas and just seperated . Stupid things is it was all prepped and degreased in the booth so there was no way it could of got contaminated . Anyway sams kindly offered to redo the rear next weekend ! But heres some photos of the rest of it .

Will get some better photos next weekend whens its been redone .

Paint can be like that sometimes, I've seen me having to respray things twice because its done that. Some paints just dont like others.
At least its only the back mate.

Looks awesome dude! I know exactly how you feel, the amount of times ive painted stuff and reactions/defects happen even when you think its 'clean' we have cars at work that have been plastered in cleaning products from being valeted and end up reacting even after being wiped with thinners!!

Will looks great when its all done, looking forward to seeing this at PVS

Cheers mark !! Yeah I don't know why it happend because it was all decreased so god knows lol !!

The rear will be redone and I'm going to put the cage back in as it is now , as I'm not sure as to weather I want to spend a lot more on the car . I'd love to LET it as everyone knows . But with turning 21 this year and insurance premiums halving and making more attractive cars affordable I'm unsure what to do . Ill have to decide after show season this year and go from there .

Oh also will be good to meet you at PVS mark !

Z'LET it and hold out for a significant car upgrade at 25 when Insurance is likely to drop even more...

I'm 27 but am considering a Z'LET C when my Vectra goes...

Thats a good way of looking at it really !! . Yeah they are awesome cars when there done tbh . Unfortunately i never drove my freinds whe he had it but he took me out in it and it was fun to say the least ! And was only standard spec too .

In other news ive just bought this : http://www.sgs-engineering.com/hydraulic-jacks/trolley-jacks/tja125-aluminium-trolley-jack

As my original one burst a seal a while ago and since then has been slowly pouring oil all over the drive .

This one has a few good reviews and i seem to remember a member on here saying its good .
