Been sorting rust out after taking sound deaning off from drivers side area I found a few holes mainly where the drain plugs are.

This is first time I've done any welding on a car and using an arc welder made things a little harder too but it looks alright for first attempt. Was also shitting myself cos fuel lines run under where I was working on lol

Can fit my hand through lol


New plates welded in


Painted with hammerite red


Small spot in the passenger side also done




Then undersealed underneath

holy shit thats a canny rust hole mate .... canny good for a first attempt like , ive never tried myself would end up with the car on fire lol , my mate next door does all mine hes class at it.

Still not 100% sure on what engine to go for, seen a few x18xe1's on ebay but they all come as tall blocks and would cost a lot to make them run

Ideally want to spend £300 or less including the exhaust system

Got some tube to use as rear brace, started welding one side then welder gave up so will do the other side when thats sorted it out.
