Yep, no power to ecu

Run the thin black from the loom to any ignition live and you're sorted.

You can wire it so it bypasses the thin black wire in the engine bay (like I did) So check with him

so i strip down the loom today to see the state of it under the tape.....

working from the ecu plug end i have; ecu plug, black 9 pin plug, bulkhead grommet, lambda plug and a brown thingy, water temp and crank position plugs, then the long plastic bit on top of the injectors with earths, air flow plug, tps plug on... next is dizzy plug and a big black plug**, then ign amp then fuel pump relay base. no where can i see the thin black ign live wire :/

**

splice next to the ecu, is it right to be like this and there are a couple more splices a bit further up

next up is 4 thin wires coming out the ecu plug and have been cut, brown/blue, brown/white, brown/yellow and white

next is the 9 pin plug, wiring looks right dodgy here with 4 of the wires cut, brown/white, brown/yellow, brown/blue, and blue/red

the rest of the wires dont go into the main loom but through the bulkhead grommet to a another plug

this one

which i think plugs into this that comes out the engine loom near the dizzy plug

these two come out between injectors number 3 and 4, icv and knock sensor. is the red one knock sensor and black icv?

and some more dodgy wiring on the fuel pump relay base

can anyone shed some light on how good/bad this loom looks?
