Hey guys, here is my Star Silver Corsa B 1999 SXi 3dr. Had it since 2007, and have slowly modded it over the 4 years haha.

*This thread has been taken from my project thread over at allcorsa.co.uk, apologies if it doesn't make sense in places*

Work done to the Car:
Full interior swap - Corsa B Sport
De-badged grill - Now off the car
Pioneer Headunit
Pioneer front speakers
Unknown watt sub in the boot
Pipercross Induction Kit
FOX Racing - FX004 15" - 195/50/15
GSI Smoothed De-badged Front Bumper
De-badged Rear

To-do:
FX Automotive lowering kit 60mm front, 40mm rear.
FX Automotive Front lower strut brace

Wish List:
Sportex exhaust system, Race tube and 3" Rolled tip rear box
Angle eyes or home made DEPO's

Heres when I first got the car.

One of the first things I did was re-move the grill for a De-badged one.

Managed to find a Sports interior that was it very good nic. Plus the driver's side seat was wearing out as it tends to do.

Didn't really do much from there on, was at college and then went on to university so the car was only used in the summer when I was back from uni.

So recently i've been doing more to the car.

Bought a Lockwood Dial kit and some blue LED's

Seems someone may have opened the clock housing before?

Fitted these Pioneer speakers, got them from a car boot damn cheap, new in box.

So after those little updates I was after some new alloys and felt it was time to go ahead and lower it haha.

The Vaux racing stripes were put on the car because of a rust spot quite low on both doors. But over time i've got used to having it, although it may have gotten bad attention. Like tw*ts pulling up next to me talking shi.. lol
My dad had some other stripes which we ended up putting over the bonnet, which I think ties the car up quite nicely

So here are a few more pictures, and this is after I de-badged the rear

This month I decided to buy some new alloys for it. Didn't really think about buying standard vaux alloys, such as cav slabs or even tigra wheels; so I went with some Fox Racing alloys from Carnoisseur.

Next item I was after was... A GSi kit. Managed to find a smoothed front bumper on ebay and win it for 71 quid.

Now onto fitting the new bumper It was sprayed up with just simple matt black paint, kinda feel like leaving it this way now.

Guy who I bought it from smoothed off the fogs and the badge area. And done a pretty good job.

While taking the old bumper off, my dad fixed the temp sensor. Use to display a nice -10' to -15'. But all good now

So after fitting the bumper and the new rims, it badly needs to be lowered. So bought an FK automotive kit. It cost around 150 quid, but gonna have to wait till I changed insurance companies to fit it.
This arrived last week all the way from Germany.

All the goodies inside haha

60mm front and 40mm rear springs

Front lower strut brace, gotta work out how to fit that. And get lucky with a dry day.

Rear sports shock

Front sports shock

Next thing to do is fit the lowering kit

Also these came today

Ok, DEPO's!! have just arrrived

Big update!

I installed my Depo headlights, that was a mission on it's own. Turns out my car is more fooked up at the front than I thought. I knew it had been in a crash and rebuilt, but the Depo's not matching the original bolt holes and the car being out of line abit made it very hard to get the lights seated right and to even close the bonnet. But for the time being they are on and look good enough.

Pictures will be posted up tomorrow, not enough time to resize all the shots I took lol.

Sorted my insurance out with Adrian Flux, all mods declared. £630, but an extra £100 for the deposit. So the sportex system is on hold till I get enough money

But i've finally got around to fitting the FK lowering kit, rear as always was easy. But ofc the front put up a fight, I couldn't get hold of a drop neck spanner to get the top off the shock that stopped me making progress to get the fronts fitted.

So today I got some new top mounts for the front suspension £35 for both. But still needed to get the old ones off, so on the way home hunted around for a good garage to help me out. Ended up going to a garage I had used before for a diag check, and they are gonna do the suspension part swap and fit it all to the new shocks and springs.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have it all fitted to the car and it will feel like a go kart haha. The rear already feels damn nice rock solid and it has settled nicely aswell.

For the most part since I have no car to play with i've been messing around with Photoshop, what I want it to look like

As it is now without front suspension fitted

"Lowered" at the front with fake 60mm *Don't think it will end up that low" Photoshop ftw

How I want it to look.

Had abit more fun with the rear end.

How it sits atm

How it should sit

With abit more tweaking White stripes which I do have in a tube.

How I hope it could end up Really warming to black alloys.

I had 15" 195/50 They rubbed like crazy, totally undriveable.

Thats when the 60mm's were first put on with, and the driveway is on a small hill. It was way lower than that when driving.

Thats it as of now, 14" 165/65's

Ok my thread is over due for an update.. quite badly haha, been 2 months since I posted and alot has happend.. *no really* but just didn't update all my progress with the lowering etc.

So here goes, WARNING MASSIVE LOAD OF IMAGES IN THIS POST!

Before I lowered it

After the fk suspension had gone in, gotta say I loved how low it was.

Yey All Corsa stickers

Bought the sportex 3" and race tube

Managed to crack my GSI bumper my fault I back my grandads car into mine

Bonnet stripe has now gone, the Vauxhall racing stripes soon to follow

Now to more recent stuff,

Bought a set of adjustable rear springs, found out they didn't fit and got the money back but the didn't even want them back so I got em for free hahaha, Gonna try and fit them again.

Every time I go to my dad's house he complains about my white wheels being dirty and ends up cleaning em haha but gotta say they always look better once they are cleaned. Soon to be sprayed gloss black and my old corsa sport alloys are going to go white so least I can always change back if I get bored of black haha.

Red towbar, cause you all know it gives me an extra 10hp when being towed lol

Fast Car free dice, they are being sprayed white atm and will be a bright green colour

Center caps will soon be black aswell but gonna have some vauxhall badges made up the right size as stickers and put in the middle of em

I took the rear boot release off and gave it a coat of matt black and did the badge the same, I'm gonna end up taking it off again and im gonna spray the badge the same bright green the dice valve caps will be in and then a coat of lacquer.

How it stands atm, gotta say I don't miss the GSI bumper that much and like the old one more since it's colour coded

and one last art'y shot

Opinions welcome, all comments etc

Ok update again,

Sorry for bad quality images didn't have the DSLR with me.

Dice have gone from this

To this XD

Found out how to fit my rear springs, lol but pictures of my currenty ones anyways.

The top cup has that rubber around the mounting point which the spring coil sits around. I'm thinking once I take that out the adjuster should fit easily.

Started sanding the wheel I dropped alm: shouldn't take more than a week to get them all sanded and primed

How my car looks atm poor Mr B sitting on old boring sports wheels with crap michelin tyres * the rears are badly worn and slide in the wet, found out one night when I did a 180. *

And Finally, a video of my sportex *Yes I know i'm a chav for reving the tits off the car" But I don't care hahaha

Just a quick update haha

Ready to go, sandpaper and spray at the ready

Some small amounts of rust, easily fixed.

Time to try and see how it fits.

Hmm ok one side on, this side isn't.

Hmm halp...

This side fits.

Hmm, ok now do I try and bend it to make it kinda fit lol?
Stupid 1.2 engine I hate it, bloody pancake intake rubbish.

Showed my dad how it fitted to the car and found the problem areas.

shoved it into place and loosened the intake.

No clearance what so ever, time for the hammer lol.

Dad said we could try using a vice to bend it to fit around the intake.

Gave up on the vice, hammer worked better lol

End result of smacking the crap out of it. *Hope it still holds together lol*

Fits this side

Fits this side aswell

Sanding the pancake intake down. Stupid thing is big for no reason!!alm:

Primed in white, only problem was it was plastic primer. Hope it doesn't matter once it's sprayed green and lacquered.

Thats the area we had to modify with the hammer. After it's had a coat of paint.

The storm that stopped me working on it and was pretty dark after it cleared when I started spraying.

Strut is on and GREEN!
And you can see the modification I had to make, the airbox has been sanded down at the back.

Bolted it on just after the lacquer dried lol so the paint got abit messed up around the bolts. Don't care though.

Other view.

The OMP sticker lives on Will get a new one or maybe put on something else.

I think I may end up going over the top with this green, like it too much.

Block needs some TLC, will be painting the coil pack cover soon. Matt black with green Vauxhall text and logo.

Sanded down two wheels on the Saturday, got abit bored since there are 15 spokes and it's a bugger to get the inside edge down aswell.

The Pot'o'Coal aka Anthracite Should be painting em next weekend.

And a new spray gun, borrowed one from my cousin which was suction and didn't do a great job. This gravity one should be better.

Started spraying my wheels (and my brother's Saxo VTS alloys)

So with the first wheel I tried the pack of cards trick, but also taped the sidewall.
Gave it a quick blow over with the paint.

Second coat of paint.

After a good coat of paint now, maybe the third coat.

After it had dried, also took the playing cards off since they did more harm than good.

My brother's VTS wheel, his are much easier to spray than my wheels

Comments all?

Will do a better update tonight once I get better pictures from the DSLR. I hate phone cameras.alm:

After I fitted the adjustable rear springs, hasn't settled in this picture.

Vauxhall racing stickers are now off, the bad stuff under it.

Only small bits hopefully I can sort em out and at least make em blend in.

Fully painted wheel.

Finished wheel, with my green dice. Lacquer needs a rub to get it shiny.

Best addition to my car so far, I love wind deflectors.

Wheels on the car now.

Me and my dad finished putting the other wheels on.

Just come off the jack, the camber is out of wack.

Went to Hertfordshire to pickup the GSI parts Least gave it a chance to settle on the springs again.

Turning it around to back it on the drive.

So glad I painted the alloys now.

Best view(Nah just end up taking pictures from this side a lot lol)

Yeah red drums, lol I don't care

Best view so far, I love it now

Ok, so I went to Hertfordshire for GSI parts. £40 for this lot,

Side skirts, one is broken. But I have a red set of them aswell.

Arches. All in an ok condition, will need to tiger seal them on the car though.

The L pieces. The red ones are in a bad state.

And I picked up these for free, the guy had the car standing in his garden for 6 years haha.

Covering for the steering column

And this

Comments All!

Oh also, I'm going to go lower on the front now hehe since there is too much gap at the front and the rear sits perfect

My brother has photoshopped my car for me

Standard

Massive drop, V-grill is going back in with a green Vauxhall badge. Towbar may also be going green.

What do you guys think?

My brother has done another Photoshop and wants me to fully colour code.

Original picture from ix will.

The Photoshop.

I'm half way between fully colour code and matt black arches/side skirts.

What do you guys think I should do?

Bought some new things for my car, centre cap stickers and smoked side repeaters.

Sorry for the tiny ebay pictures lol

I put the stickers on the caps earlier today,

Haven't received the smoked side repeaters yet.

More stickers seem to have got themselves stuck to my car.

Recently went to Wales, had a Karting meet there with a bunch of people of play this racing simulation. CR is the online team I race with.

Meh

Made this up from my vinyl cutter, since my real badge is not sprayed yet.

Carbon

Ok while fixing my leaking exhaust, I discovered this

I hate rust!

Covered the split with some thin metal, in a hope to hide it come MOT time.

Other side wasn't as bad so cover it up anyway to make sure it lasts.

The side with mega rust

Just wondering if anyone on here could tell me if that would be a MOT fail. I've got until November, and if it's a cheap welding repair then will fork out to keep my car running for just a bit longer

For now just messing around with HDR on my DSLR.

Also got GM Mudflaps to install and if all goes well after MOT time then the GSI kit will be going on ASAP!

Any comments guys?

Fitted the Mudflaps, gotta say they look good.
Also you guys may notice some of the stickers has gone.

I got a free centre console section from some guy breaking his GSI.
So I thought I would play around with it Green and pink heater stickers.

Soon decided to just go ahead a carbon wrap it.

Pretty much finished.

The pink and green heater section.

Abit off topic lol

But just come back from my dads around 9pm to find this, and couldn't pass up a chance to follow it and hear the Vtec POWA!

I believe it was a D16, screamed like **** aswell.

Found out it was a girl driving it lol

Time for the lacquer then fitting it to the car

Finally got a good finish on the vaux badge.

Got these today

Managed to get my rear boot badge sorted.

Stickers!

Matching the rest of the Florescent Yellow paint around the car.

...

Drums are now black, not Red!

As it stands.. Nothing much has changed lol

List of stuff to do before Trax!

Paint Front brakes Flo-Yellow
Paint Tow-eye Flo-Yellow
Lower the front more (Only by a bit)
Fit my carbon wrapped centre console
Fit lower strut brace
Sort a few rusty spots
Wash the car and polish it
Also ordered some pressed plates

And of course make sure I have the stickers sorted well before Trax lol

Any comments guys?

Got to say they look great.

Old crusty front plate, the rear isn't much better.

New front

New rear

Thanks,

Lower! I can't get it any lower at the moment, I've got a set of slabs waiting to go on with a set of front suspension at around 70mm so should sit nice a low then. I will also drop the rear to match the fronts.

Thanks Jed, I always photograph my updates but really all this progress has come from this year, did nothing to the car for the first 3 years of owning it.

Cheers, theres been plenty of talk about whether or not to do what you have done with yours. But i've said I don't fancy copying. Not sure which way to go with the GSI kit

Which stickers don't look right? As it stands now i've got allcorsa stickers on the side windows, a Trax 2011 sticker and an Unlucky Racing sticker * local meet *. On the rear is the regional sticker for allcorsa.

Yeah the smoothed bumper has been done by the guy before. He's done a brilliant job smoothing it

Thanks, yeah I do like it but wouldn't mind fogs Wheels are going soon, before the end of the week. Offset isn't great.

I can't de-bump strip it last owner tiger sealed them on, found out the hard way and had to tiger seal it back on again.

Yeah not sure what do to with the kit

Thanks for the comments all.
