How do you make money online?
I'm just robbing stores for $1000 a time... seems a bit shit.

Jobs/missions/races
Instead of heading to an icon on the map for one of the above hit start then go to online then jobs, and join that way. There's over 500 different things to do. That's mostly what I've been doing. Far funnier having a race across the map with up to 15 other people.
Go in to passive mode though as if you gather more than 5k during the missions and then go back to free roam someone could kill you and take your money before you've had time to bank it.

Yeah, encourages you to keep playing. Not sure how much over what time period though?
Aslong as you play online as you should, you will forever be ranking up. A lot of people are just playing the same high reward mission for hours on end, earning millions and ranking up far quicker than everyone else. I don't see the point in all honesty, it's like using a cheat. I like the feeling of earning the money.

All you need is one person at the right rank to open the mission then he can host a lobby with the job, there's a few like this. It kinda spoils it.

Tbh I'm getting a bit fed up with online already. The whole thing's a bit of a mess.
Everything is very unbalanced in favour of more seasoned players.
Games hardly get any more than the bare minimum amount of players. Not tried a 16 player game yet.
Free roam is a bit pointless, really, and not as fun as single player as you have much less money/weapons/vehicles at your disposal.
Can't really play with friends as you can't jump in to each others playlists.
All in all I find SP more entertaining.

You can join a friends session by going to the online tab, or if in a job lobby. A friends invite will flash up on your phone as a text.

Can join session, not playlists.
Also, passive mode is broken. If in a car you can get shot, if on foot you can get run over.

Go to the internet on your phone and you can do it on there..

Yeah I know, ATM's are pointless and a waste of time. No one uses them, but usually after a job it will spawn you near the payers you've just been in a lobby with, it only takes one arsehole to kill you and steal your money, although it only take 2 minutes to do it on your phone it's still long enough. I don't risk it.

Played a few hours tonight...
Did races... infact... did a race - AGAIN AND AGAIN!
A race called, Staying on track... a tricky one with motorbikes. But once I learnt the course I beat everyone! I set a new record miles ahead of others:
Best laps were like 46 secs.
Anyway, turned into about $6000 + Bet money + good exp in about 2 mins.
Gone from level 4 to 18 and made over $100,000
bought a shitty apartment now.

Didnt bother going on this last night, servers are still knackered and I lost about £30k because of this (just wiped from my account, no trace  ).
Will try again tonight but they really need to sort it out otherwise its a waste of time attempting to play

They said if you lose your character then back out of Online and go into story mode then back into online then your character should be back with guns, money etc.

Yeah that didn't fix it as my character corrupted rather than disappeared.
I have deleted it and started again. Pain in the ass.
