Can soemone help me please? Explain to me why I'd need 3G and Wifi and not just Wifi?

WiFi you can go on the internet in the house, 3g you can go on the internet out of the house.

Yes, you would need some sort of 3g sim.

With 3g you need a micro sim to use data. So yes, you will be charged.

Doesn't have to be an iPhone to tether, can easily tether to majority of phones now. A MiFi is another option if you just wanted an WiFi iPad.
