Didn't do it on mine but wanted it done. Fad says it was best thing for his Clio. Needs mapping with it apparently. Get it done

This TBH. my 182 was standard. did a 15.4 quarter.

Lad with a 172 Cup had Yozzasport de-cat back, matched inlets and a map. He did a 14.4.

I know you may say it can go on driver etc, but he had started with a less power car, and i have done the drag strip 4/5 times, and it was his first.

gez mate, you are an absolutely lovely man of men, but i cannot believe you just said that better cams are a waste over just machining out bits of the inlets

It's deffo worthwhile, I wouldn't go as far to say it will transform the car but in conjunction with other modifications it all adds up to a noticeable difference. mine with the matched inlets, RS Tuner, and Decat pipe made a great difference together, much revier, and pick up from low down was greater and delivery very linear to the red line. Even with the 7.5k rev limit it always felt like it needed 8k. Warren drove it several times and will confirm this.

Low down the revs I could tell, I had before and after R/R And it made 5bhp, I had it mapped 5miles later with K-tec and my power graph was just straight, Smoothed out the VVT, Complete different car, Didnt have that 5-6k Kick up the arse, Just smooth throughout the rev range.

Id listen to Steve tbh if I was you. May aswell call him Wikipedia from now on.

I would say the only thing I regret is not doing cams and a custom RS Tuning map. iirc billet Cat Cams at the time were circa 800

Every Renault engine is different, My 172 had 182Manifold, De-cat and 3inch exhaust back..Matched inlets, Remap and K-tec panel filter and made 179bhp..
Freinds 172 went on straight before mine, Same simular miles etc, His had some shit K&n Filter made exactly the same bhp.

Ive seen standard 182's RR and make less then 170bhp, Its common!
