Has anyone here got the HDMI adaptor for iPad 2?

Do you need the official apple one or would a cheap eBay one work?

I assume I can use it to watch iplayer on my TV rather than the iPad screen?

Not got HDMI but we have the VGA adaptor and directors use it to do presentations on the TV. So guessing HDMI will be same.

Yes can watch iPlayer through iPad on TV

Just buy the legit part. If you wanted an ebay version or a cheaper item that could do the same but better. You wouldn't have bought an ipad in the first place

This was a genuine item but eBay will have same item cheaper!

I'd buy a cheap one personally.

I have it, its ok, although it doesnt really output all that great, doesnt do the aspect ratio big enough imo.

So if I use it as itvplayer/iplayer can this plug into my tv and be used as a larger monitor

I use one for my tv,from my macbook pro in apple it was 25quid
On ebay 99p, and it looks identical and does the job perfect

£35 in store, seems to be pretty much the same price for a fake on eBay!

I will just get one from Apple when I am in a store next
