had a look at some monaros, and i know they are a lot of car for the £££ but i just think they are a car prob aint that easy to sell on at a later date,

the evo and scoob may be the same due to running costs that ppl wont want to buy them!

evo...if 150mile to £50 driving sensibly is your thing, 3k services, then parts on top. awesome car and im chuffed to bits with my 6, but they arent cheap to run/maintain.

after owning my evo i wouldnt build any quick fwd car again, they just feel shite compared even in a straight line with wanting to pull all over the road understeer etc

m3s are nice...which shape?

m3, evo7-9 or scoob would fit the weekend bill...scoobs ive not a clue on models, but a nice fq340 with some mods would make an all round good car...have anose on the lancer register in the for sale sections, so very very well priced cars on there.

my mate said i can have his for 10k..

and although i really like it and i know its been well looked after etc, dunno if i could right now..
its a cracking car and the times ive driven it ive came out thinking i really want one, but ive also got a kid so makes things a little harder for me to justify to the wife.

For £12k you will get a good example of an e46 m3 coupe csl rep. That would fit you criteria above.
Or a 911
Get on m3cutters in the for sale section. Some good cars on there.

thing is if its only for weekends a better choice would be the evo or subaru imo, he does not need the comfort and luxuries of the M3 imo if its only being used at weekends.

THIS

M3 would be perfect if it was a daily.

As its a weekend might as well go the EVO route. I see newage scoobs as a semi daily tbh, not so much with an EVO.

400/400 evo like r lee's would be spot on, there very driveable and respond well and tbh not much differance in a 400 and 500bhp evo expect towards the top end.
