i bought a spoiler and i seen some guy how to fit it and he said the top of the tail gate is not long enough near the rear washer jet to fit the black base with self tapers ??

he also wanted to charge me £80 beacuse he saids its going to take 2 hours and he might have to modify it beacuse it might catch when i open my boot, so i dont know what to do know ?

I riveted the black bit on and tigersealed the spoiler on, worked absolutely fine. If you do fit the black bit then you'll need to make a hole below the washer jet for the water to go through as the pipe on a car not built with the spoiler isn't long enough to reach the jet on the black bit.

Going back a few years (1.2 8v) drilled boot and used STD fixings, think I may have bonded it on as well!

I fitted mine last night removed the original screws used double sided tape to hold it in place and tiger sealed the top two corners and bottom two corners and i plan to run 140+ db of bass through mine

The tape is to hold the corners down as tiger seal takes a few hours to go off
