Remove Front Wheel Arch Liners
Remove Front Wheel Arches
Remove Back Wheel Arches
Take 80 Grit sandpaper preferably on an electric Sander and Sand away until the bumpy effect on the arches is gone.
Now use about 240 grit paper to smooth the arches
Then finish off with about 1000 grit.
By this point the arches should be very smooth. Clean them with Meths.
Next bit kinda depends if you are spraying with Cans or Compressor and Airbrush.
If using cans get some Plastic Primer and spray a thin coat onto the arches. Allow to dry and spray on another. In between it is necessary to lightly sand them with 1200 wet and dry(make paper wet).
Continue until you have a good surface coverage. Then finish of with a final light sanding and leave to dry.
If using a Airbrush it is basically the same method but depends on what kinda Paint you are spraying with. I used 2 Pack Hibuild Primer.
I've used both methods and get good finishes with both.

Spraying your topcoat is just a case of slowly adding coat ontop of coat.
Some kinds of paint require a clear laquer to be applied but others don't.

Personally I wouldn't do the topcoat with a spray can but it is possible.

But Bobo's little tutorial may be handy in the tutorial section for those wishing to sand the arches down too.

Sorry for misreading but Corsa120 also made the same mistake I did.
Title is a tad misleading.

bobo. who told u to smooth archs that way. thats not the proper way at all and tbh people that dont know answers to questions shouldnt reply. if u want ur archs smoothed down 4 painting then all u need to do is remove 4 arches. give them a good rub with red scotchbrite. 3 coats of high build primer. flat them down with say 240/320 and another 3 coats of highbuild then flat with 600/800 and paint and prime as usual. as ive already said in previous posts u cants sand plastic parts with something as rough as 80 coz they go all fluffy. thats why u start witht the scotchbrite. plus in 6 months time when the paint sucks in abit its gonna show all ur scratchs in the arches and its gonna look shit
