Project LED is on hold due to the electrician guy not answering my message I left with him

I need power from my EW that I haven't got. I'm going to offer then up tomorro to check there in the right place to light the speakers.

thats a pretty neat job. only thing is you might be able 2 see the LED's when ure lukin in the grill. might have been better to have them up top, pointing down on the speaker

I thought about that - as I'd probably get a better angle too, but what made me chose otherwise was that picture on my other thread of that Danish car with a red light.

It lit up the grille 'bars' going accross as they are slanted diagonnally. If I had lihgts on the top they would shine onto the top of these 'bars' and be visible to passengers. If I had them at the bottom then they would light up the 'backs' of these 'bars' and therefore passengers would not see this. I only want the speaker to be lit up.

Does that make sense? If you look at the slats on the grille you can see what I mean

The red is a nroaml one, 12v, and the blue ones are ultrabright ones. all 5mm. Lit up my mum's engine bay ok, but it wasn't pitch black.

I've got access to wires if I need to add a couple more, but I don't want to put them in the top cos of the shining through thing - we'll see...

Still waiting. Got 'a' mirror switch yesterday, but it wasn't in the greatest condition, so I got a guy off Mig to send me one out. I'll give him £10 for his trouble like! this will be my 4th potential switch!

1st: Never arrived, trying to sort out money back
2nd: Bought it but then they told me somebody in the shop had bought it as I was ordering over the hone
3rd: No plug and D-pad was 'dodgy'
4th: Should arrive tomorrow.

Project is a complete nightmare!

Thats the thought's stopped me giving up. Summers coming - windows will be coming down, and I'm fed up of windoin them down.... ....then up looking akward whist doing so!

Electric mirrors are just a novelty as I'lll only be adjusting them once! But a nice feature and the switch looks cool (if it arrives!)
