Well, just started it.

Runs fine.
Mph not working and dipstick still leaks.

Left it running for about 20 mins with no issues.

Here's a gentle blip of throttle. Neighbours go mad otherwise

What is it with you and dipsticks! Vaux sell the gasket that goes between the block and the dipstick housing might be an idea to fit two?

your dip stick will be the same problem i had the part that the dipstick goes into the tube its just pressed and glued in to the base so when you do any welding on it the glue ments and it will leak , you cant welt it as the tube is steel and the base is ally

So I'll be buying a small set of spanners then, and giving that a go.
Cars now running, bit off from cold, but always has been. Maybe Ecu needs to learn itself again as battery been off a lot.

Coilovers must be wrong as somethingn is knocking, nobody on the internet seems to have installed coilovers before so atn get any advice

Finally no leaks from dipstick! Left for half an hour too!

Used loctite grey gasket sealant, could have been that or new dipstick that stopped it.

Either way -

Hoping to make pvs and trax. Should be on te T.V stand at PVS, as I've been offered. Got bit bored with car shows really, people have nothing but positive comments in person, it gets posted online and everybody tried to insult me and it.

Strange how those people never say anything bad in person. I can take criticism all day long, otherwise I wouldn't post online, constructive though.

I'm not about shows too much, PVS is a given for CS banter, I'm mainly meant you going to go to any track time/events (only reason I go to Trax-cheap circuit time, couldn't give a fuck about the show there lol)

Not really into all that. Track, I get worries about too many bell ends going round, and it's not really built for cornering lol.
Drag racing, I don't really see the point of, I'll get a time then what? Try and beat it constantly, I still have a heavy full leather interior, so it's not really about setting. Times. Everybody that sets a time will always then aim for a quicker time, then change tyres etc and strip car then spend more on engine etc. I just take it for what it is. Nothing against people that do those things, just lot for me, and not in this car.
