today i went to take the bungs out of the spare wheel well beacuse i was gona sand the little spot of rust down and primer it but when i took the bung out quite abit of the well came out with it and it did with all 4 bungs

so what im asking is what should i do with the spare wheel well as the car is far too good to scrap just need to sort that bit of rust out

should i
cut it out and get a new well
cut it out and just put flat sheet metal over where its ment to be

or what do people advise on doing

Plate the holes is the easiest option, removing the whole well and plating it is a bit more work

as said just cut out the knackerd bits with a grinder and weld some new bits in

the thing is tho they whole well would need plating as the holes are quite big and the wells weak wich is realy weerd as the rest of the car is fine nice and strong

Cut the well out and plate it with a flat sheet of steel then

Go to the scrappy look for a good nick one cut it out and operate on your

flat sheet of metal mate then strap your spare wheel in the rear of car
