Sell it then. Should've got quotes before you decided to spunk your money it, people do this all the time, buy cars then complain they can't insure them! Try getting a quote for a 12v.

At 17 i wouldnt bother, Id just put it in your mum or dads name and add yourself as a driver if you really want to drive. Although that probably wouldn't be any cheaper. Being a 17 year old you'd lose alot of money anyway, insurance(alot), petrol, maintenance, mods. Depending on how much you earn you won't have alot at the end of it.

I bought the car nearly a year ago. Quotes we're a lot different then to what they are now. When i first got it i could get quotes of around 2 grand, now i can't. Im not complaining im just pissed off and as a few people we're asking me what was happening with the car i decided to update my thread telling people that im unable to insure it.

Tried everything, adding them does nothing as they can't put any no claims on the policy because its on their own cars.

Drop a 12v in and declare it then put your 16v and dont declare.

I'd be looking to see what the difference on the price is first though

^ fucking lols.

Fitting a 12v would not be any cheaper, it would go up as its then a heavily modded car. Buying a 12v and transfering parts would be cheapest.

Im serious though, Have you got a quote on a 12v/

I would, I know its not what he wants to do, Im sure its not what you want to do either, But If it gets him on the road?

I know I'd rather be on the road in a shit slow 12v than sitting in the passenger seat leaving a car I cant insure on the drive all the time.
