sounds better than it is imo.

ive been in an astra 1.6 T (im assuming same engine) 2010

and it was pants

no torque whatsoever. and the driver was ragging its nuts off making it bounce of the limiter

it was quite lame.

I would get a vxr over the Sri any day of the week. Get older to put more towards the insurance. It's not just a bodykit which separates them.

Ask Fad about his

Don't fall into that trap, get a Corsa VXR and be done with it.

what happned to him?

ive had a few 2.0 tdi - granted they are not THEEEE best reliable engines on the planet, but theyre not bad. prefer one over a vauxhall any day of the week.

your better off getting the 1.9 tdi 105bhp VAG engine and then remapping it to 150.

but you you only have 5 speed gearbox. hmm..

overall qualty and satisfaction of the drive is mucho better.

Hang on, you're recommending he get a diesel family car when he clearly is after a medium performance petrol hatch?

hmmmmm id class them as performance diesels in a sporty hatch shell?

i didnt know petrol was a criteria sorry.

however, a corsa 1.6t isnt breathtakingly performing.

im positive he would get much more smile-factor driving one of my suggested alternatives - whilst looking after his pocket and not being hit with depreciation as much also.

It's not just about straight line speed though is it? The VXR has the total package.

Flame Red 2009 09 plate 8k miles completely standard - 18's

One of the top colours I think Apart from arden blue.
You can only get Arden on the VXR. That settles it then tbh

What is the difference in premium?

I would guess mapping it will close the gap, if you choose to do that.

I got a quote on the sri and vxr and the vxr was only an extra £250 roughly.

Worth paying the extra id say.
