Not to rub salt into wounds, but they are out there!
Someone I know just got this for less than £500 - it's getting de-chavved, stripped with a weld-in multipoint cage and he's putting an XE he has laying around in it - hoping to have it at Combe by the end of the summer/autumn i think...

They're definitely out there. Plans sound good for that one, hope to see a project thread at some point.

Just crashed mine mate,, is more or less a bare shell now tbh.. nothing wrong with shell structural wise, just dints on pass side. and needs a new drivers wing. was more damage to nottom arms and snapped a drive shaft. if u fancy a trip down ypu can take it for scrap value. Offers there. I'll get a couple of pics up of how shes sitting later.

Most probably no use to you but thought id offer!

EDIT: moved car from my house to dads yard tonight until I swap plate etc.. Dad put strap over roof and bent it above rear windows.. Hole in fuel tank as I had nearly a full tank, and cracked wwindscreen so... But you are more than welcome to have a look if u like, it's in Bradford now.

How much are you looking to spend Ian? I spotted this on ebay the other night and was tempted to buy and repair as there is definately some money to be made for that kind of price! I think you could probably haggle him down to sub £1000 too.

Was thinking about this on the way home last night.

any of the smallblock engines will go straight in, providing you can be bothered with wiring....

I'm now considering doing something similar, a Corsa C with a cage, decent suspension with a decent setup, 15s with sticky tyres and an X16XE on bodies will make it like a vauxhall version of the Fiesta ST / Polo Cup cars, which are amazing.

The only issue I can see is that most of the good quality motorsporty stuff, suspension and the like is all Corsa B/Nova orientated still, as the rally lot still haven't really taken the C under their wing.
