If you want to use emoticons in your messages, download an app called Emoji icons Free.

Then go in to phone settings and under General select Keyboard - Add new keyboard and select Emoji.

You can now delete the app and you will have emoticons when sending messages on Ping Chat.

Whatsapp is pretty crud on Android and PingChat message delivery is a lot lot quicker than Whatsapp. Plus Whatsapp has half the features that Pingchat has.

I use whats app all the time, and dont know how any other app can be faster than whatsapp as its near enough instant on iphones. I have tested it a few times sending family in the same room messages and are instant. also cant be that slow as people reply too fast
There was also an update 2 days ago with more features

Certainly between Android and iPhone is took a few hours to receive a message, which is ridiculous. It might be alright on iPhone but under Android it's miles behind PingChat (and it still lacks some features that PingChat has), plus everyone i know uses PingChat so it's pointless changing.

Don't all congrats with the iPhone offer unlimited texts these days? Plus the way the iPhone message system is displayed, hardly a need for apps like these any more

If you had no signal, you would have no 3G/EDGE?

Transfer files? I've had my phone well over 12 months now and not once needed to transfer files to my mates. The only time I've needed to was with a IPA, installious supports this now via bluetooth or wifi anyway.

MMS costs me 20p, I send about 4 a month at the max, not everyone has an iPhone.

If I couldn't get a signal (at home) then I'd be changing networks within the 14-day period.

If someone doesn't have it installed, then it's usless if you want to communicate with them for free
