Well here it is, I bought this as a daily driver for a very good price its a 1999 Corsa 1.0 12v in Arden blue with 65,000 miles on the clock. It needed a few things done such as a new back box as the last one was quite badly blown. The back axle was also quite badly rusted and the wheel was sitting at a very bad camber this is apprantley a common problem on corsa’s so the whole back axle was dropped and replaced and now its as good as new. This is how it sat:

But me being me i decided to do a few bits and pieces.
Mananged to get a hold of all round 40mm springs as i feel that this would give a good look but meaning i wouldnt have to avoid every bump on the road:

Then while browsing about the garage i found a set of headrest’s which match my interior these replaced the filled in ones that where in the car, nothing to special but i just personally feel these are alot better:

With the car starting to look slighty more acceptable it was time to get rid of the fox halford special alloys that came on the car i um’d and aw’d about what i wanted and after speaking to my pal (the one with the red corsa in the first pictures) he offered me his so the deal was done and i got them. But they where quite badly scuffed so i gave my pal who owns a wheel refurb company a call and he said bring them in so went in with the plan of just getting them refurbed standard silver but when in the garage one of Colin’s display wheels on the wall caught my eye there where anthracite and i knew instantly this is what i wanted as it would contrast arden blue very well so Colin got to work refurbing them in less than a day!:

So they where fitted in time for Donny and this is how they looked

Also fitted my decals to the rear quater windows

So on the Thursday night before donny this is how the car looked after a quick clean .. In this pic the front is cleary not lowered as we simply didnt have time. But it was starting to look more acceptable in my opinion

Then someting quite gutting happened, the car was parked in a local retail park as i nipped in to pick something up when i came back to the car 10 minutes later my girl friend noticed my boot and bumper where badly damaged. Clearly somebody reverse or drove into the car and never left any details.
But this was quite good as it gave me the push to change the bumpers to the sport bumpers so after some hunting i found a 5dr corsa in arden blue (same colour as mine) so i snapped these up and fitted them along with my private reg which left it looking like this:

New boot not fitted and front still not lowered in these pics

So eventually i got round to lowering it at the front, fitting my plate and doing all the other wee niggly jobs that where doing my head in painting all my arch’s and rear drums etc etc so with it looking the way i want i went for another wee cheeky photoshoot with my pal ryan again .. i took the photos and imo they didnt turn out to bad!

[IMG]http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r30/custom_corsa/DSC_0558.jpg[/IMG
]

Then got a few new bits - indicators and grille

Changed a few more bits and pieces on it .. full calibra leather interior, sxi door cards, punto rear wiper

on the outside all the plastics have been replaced and a caviler rear door handle was put on the passenger side due to it being de-locked. These went in to be painted anthracite to match my wheels but the place was a shower of cow boys so turned out **** which was a bit gutting. Also fitted a tigra scuttle panel

Punto wiper

wired in a vauxhall carlton centre light which has the map lights either side and looks alot nicer in my views

And also fitted a corsa c sxi gear knob this needed a bit of dremling to allow for the car to go into reverse and its a nice snug fit which contrasts the leather well as it has the dimples on the sides lke the seats

Thats it as it stands just now quite happy with it but going to do quite a bit of work over winter on it hopefully. Smoothing, new paint job, plastics sorted set of depo's, new wheels etc etc quite a long list tbh

all comments good or bad welome of course

Cheers Ross

So it's been a wee while since i last updated this,

been quite busy with the corsa's winter makeover, This is how its looked now for a good few months:

So a wee spruce up for 2011 was a must, had loads of ideas going through my head about what route i wanted to take the car. After a few photoshops i was kind of happy with what i wanted to do

Front Before:

Photoshop After:

less than a week later got the car into kenny laird and he worked his magic on it turning it round in less than a day and the work is flawless as usual

The car will be going back into him in the new year for a few more bits and pieces as he's away on holiday for a bit,

Then the car will be seeing a lick of paint around the 2nd week in january, same colour of blue just tidying up a few wee dings and dents and a few bits of surface rust:

plastics are being smoothed and going a stunning dark grey metallic along with scuttle panel, roof gutters and maybe the roof havnt decided yet, then gsi spoiler and the handles colour coded blue. Subtle wee things but hopefully have a big inpact on how the car looks

also bought new front and rear lights for it:

Set of smoked depo's for the front:

Set of German Ones for the rear:

More updatess soon

Wee Update, Cars now in the bodyshop and they have been cracking on so few pictures

Car was stripped back:

All Plastic trim and other bits removed for primier and painted seperate:

Then it was time to attend to some damage to the rear slam panel (Before):

During:

After (The rust and the bottom will be sorted aswell):

Then the semi smooth tailgate was sorted. was given its final skim of filler and a few small dings where sorted aswell:

The it was sanded and primed:

Spoiler was removed to be primed and painted:

With the boot ready to go the inside was prepped ready for a coat of arden blue

Prepared:

Painted:

Then for the major work, the front of the car is sitting out of alignment so its onto the jig to be straightened out and strengthened for the bigger engine:

Getting the panel gaps just right:

The side that needs most work:

Overall of front end:

Thats how far we're at now the lads are fairly cracking on with it so wont be much longer now till its in the booth and painted

Update time. Turns out the front of the car was alot worse than expected:

Was debateing just cutting my loses at this point and breaking it for bits but decided the rest of the car is mint underneath so we would repair it all and crack on as normal

so after a day on the jig we got it spot on:

Also the chassis leg was sorted and strenthened

So we where now a week behind schedule but it was pretty much plain sailing from here so we cracked on and got the car sanded

Then it was time to sort the damage and stone chips

Rust was then removed from the inner sills and spot primed

Plastics and bumpers where then sanded

Primer on the tailgate was then flattened

Car was then masked up

Main body was then masked and roof was painted Volvo Dark Grey Metallic

Then the roof had to be masked off

Boot Painted

Body Painted

Plastic bumper inserts where also painted the same colour as the roof

Along with the arch's, scuttle panel, roof gutters etc etc

Mirrors after paint and clear

Bumper after clear

Then was time to put it all back together

Front:

Rear:

The car is now finished just need to give it a wee detail then get some decent pics of it which i will do this weekend
