Hi all

i have had a few u2us from people asking if i have a project thread, well for you guys i do now

april 2007 it arived home with me

2000
1.4 sport
1 owner
42000 miles
mint as ever

unfortunatly no pictures of it can be found

the first thing i did was buy these awful 17" wheels off a mate of mine

can also see from that photo i had some chicken wire for a front grill nice

i was in and out of motor world and halfords every day looking what i can waste my money on next

next up was some fast and furious pedals and ripspeed floor mats

head unit that wenrt that bad tbf

also see the push button start and ignition switch in there (that didnt work)

made my self a boom box and some 6x9s sitting there too

after this i got my self some 14" fox racing wheels in black along with a getto a colour code from my buddy torret, some clear side reps, painted my calipers and drums blue, 5 1/2 back box, decat, de wipered, blacked my rear lights, some springs 60mm allround, sunstripe and some depos.

got my self a new system as mine was a bodged together heap

excuse the room was being decorated at the time

piper 3" rolled out stainless back box come too

got them fitted

found my self a gsi front bumper and then got it painted

found a grill

black sunstripe on

boot build was up for sale ended up swaping for a set of pazz1991s 80mm springs

got my self some spax shocks front and rear

then i striped the interior out and soundeadning and painted it

then the skirts went on calipers and drums went black

100000x better

omp strut brace went on

my mate bought a corsa gsi with slabs on it. begged and begged him for them and got my own way

swaped for my fox ones, on they went

painted them black

made him soooo jelous

cleaned engine bay and put some raisers on

standard rear lights

was still looking clean

then my buddy found me a c20xe engine so went and picked that up (no pics)

cage turned up so got that fitted

then we set about fitting then engine

that completed i enjoyed that for a while

then painted my cover and cam cover

took beam off cleaned and undersealed then painted the archs black (only pic i have )

brandnew depos again, as i gave the last pair to my mate as im nice like that

got some gm windeflectors, short shift, painted rocker cover, fuel rail, throttle cable holder, cam cover, dizzy, and of course the best mod airbox, had all new arches, back bumper and skirts all sprayed properly.

And attended pvs 2010

put some autosprint 288 cams in after that

also got some omp seats and sabelt harnesses

got a digi dash

I got a tigra panel, aero wipers, new toyo proxie tyres 195/15/50 and new number plates
and went on a tunnel run along with some cs members

after this car was having a lot of gearbox problems so i took it off the road for some treatment and goodies

new box

new clutch kit

battery bag, new numberplate light, new inner cv joint, new water bottle and 8v baffle gasket.

lightened flywheel 5.5kg and arpbolts

all that went on along with a freshen up of the engine and engine bay and wiring

new track rod ends and ball joints

omp steering wheel and boss turned up

deep dish and suade

had all the plastic interior flocked

and then i thought why not get my rocker cover and cam cover done

and really thats where i have got to so far, im sure i have missed a few things out but this is a rough draft. there is lots and lots more to come so watch this space

Awesome car mate. I love it! Quick question for you. was the Steering wheel boss made for an airbag model or did you just have to take the bulb out instead? Cheers Scott

Thats pretty cool that.

How does the flocking stand up the engine bay temps?

Like the steering wheel, And how much was it to get all the dash/plastics flocked?

Keep up the good work
