got the last few bits done ready to fit the engine back in the car. gonna be fitting the bottom end and gearbox in the car first so i can get it out out the garage as i still need to order bits for the head. got dad to do most of the painting to make it look good again

old engine out:

state of the once freshly painted power steering / air con mount,

one dirty gearbox

one freshly sprayed gearbox

and engine back together:

fresh mount

28/4

spent saturday getting the lower part of the engine in. went in nice and easy as we lowered the car onto the engine which was already sitting on a dolly. dad resprayed both chassis legs which are now looking good. hopefully get most of it finished off tomorrow just the head to build up and go in but waiting on a couple of gaskets.
