yes the throttle body does end up on the cambelt side of the engine so you need to remove those plugs and kind of loom them up seperate to wrap back across the engine to fit the throttle body in its new position, here is a photo of what mine looked like for an idea of the layout of the engine bay afterwards,

can i cut the plugs off , extend the wire and put the plugs back on?

i had to bash in the bulk head around were the brake fluid lives... just a bit to make space for the throttle body
if you were close (a lot closer) id help you fit it but im sure you'll find it pretty strate foward mate and keep up the good work

also got the timing belt on:


also got the covers sprayed up but not fitted. anyone know what this is for?

is that not the one that goes up near the screen wash bottle, goes on a bracket that has two bolts to the passenger suspention leg area...?

think (if it is) its meant to have a metal clip on the connector but mine stay on fine without it. think its only popped off once and the eml came on. just squeezed it back together and its fine

That defo looks like the crank sensor mate, sure when i unplugged mine the other half of the plug was part of the main wiring loom.
The bracket for holding it is at the end of the fuel rail, above where the trottle body used to sit, Right above the fpr.

me and dad got the engine more or less ready to go in today, rocker cover on, stainless steel bolts on top, cambelt covers on, coilpack on, on the looking out to buy / borow an engine hoist now

Great progress and can't wait till it's in. I reckon you should do same as Shaun has with his and buy some blue roose hoses to make it that bit better.

yeah gotta be blue, currently looking for the air intake pipe just gotta find the right size to fit the throttle body and correct bend
