Tim you should be lower than that...

I did 12.9 @ 111mph in monty at 260hp with 246lbft and that was on T1R's and normal road spec....

Ideal then Dale, I should still be around 400hp when its built but at a higher boost then I want to be at. Im sacrificing inlet and headwork (two big factors for improved VE) to get it done quicker but I guess they are two things that can easily be added when funds allow.

As Dale said Tim.. You should well do a low 12.... I managed a 13.2 with a completely std LET, no diff on budget tyres on my 4th every run up a quarter mile

On the other hand.. Too much power on the wrong tyre can be a disadvantage.

mate did a mid 12 on a539 yokes with 420bhp, ill see if can find the video frm pvs a couple years back, with even 048rs or 888s even with a dozen runs you should see low 12s high 11s id of thought.

Have you got a underdrive pulley? Them high revs won't be doing the alternator any favour.

I know how you fell one thing after another, keep at it if you can.

You can get a underdrive crank pulley which changes the gearing, so the alternator isn't spinning as fast and doesn't burn it out at high revs.

Bottom of this page.

Tweeks list a TTV Racing one, which should work out cheaper than SBD, with your discount.

alt got delivered today , so started fiitting that this morning go it in and tried adjusting it and it was hitting on the inlet, took it of and choped a lug of on it , fitted it back on and could only get about 10mm adjustment had to go get a belt and prise it on by turning over the engine on the crrank bolt , but it works, ended up using the rose joint adjuster , but when running it was 14.4 v so result, took it out and hit 8300 on revs a few times and not battery light, is qite scary when your at 8300 in 4th gear and the diff is pulling all over he road lol

till take it of at some point and clean it up

belt used for reffrence

another couple of probs poped up the , just driving at 30 mph and next thing the temp shoots up to nearly 105, then dropes so think i have a air lock in there , but also im noticing that when i get back from a drive there is water over the bay and it looks like it has come out of the header tank from under the cap like it has excess pressure, any idea to this???

can see the water marks here
