That first vid didn't sound major, glad is was something simple.

Honest when something breaks on one of them engines it's 100x worse.

i did ask him to tighten the crank bolt and pulley bolts once had gearbox on as i had no locking tool for flywheel to stop engine turning, as for cam caps i have no idea as i did torque them down, but if anything had of happened, i would of had no problems sorting out. glad its sorted though.

Mate not trying to start a fight here but cams have a 22mm (think that's the size) cut out so you can hold the cam soild and tighten the cam pulley bolt, with thread lock its never coming out. Don't get me wrong we all make mistakes from time to time but come on mate.......

Would advise whipping out the crank bolt and re-thread locking that just to be 100% as see than work there way loose.

Cheers beardy, crank bolt already out waiting to get new belt tomorrow , thread lock on the crank bolt or just oil the threads?

beardy i realise that but i tend to ask people to double check too. just glad its sorted. and as said if it was anythign terminal id of sorted it straight away no questions. just sorry about whats happened thats all.

greg - if read earlier the lad mapping said the oil was clean.

and like ive always said to people if they have a problem, ill sort it. fact that ive always been there to help no matter what, theres no need to stir shit, especially when you owe so much!

do not put thread lock on the crank bolt, just make sure its tightened to required setting.

It's a 24mm spanner to hold the camshaft.

IMO it's all to be expected, if you've changed so many things on a car like you have, it can't be helped that the odd thing was missed. When I took my last car for his first MOT, the tester found most of the stuff on one side of the front suspension loose. It wasn't the side I did, but I should of checked everything myself.

I'd say once it's all run in and mapped, get it up on your ramp and check everything.

Still one of the best builds on the site, it's a true credit to you.

We need some mobile videos.

thanks mate , tbh ive already checked all the bolts and the suspension, wheels ect , as got up to 80mph on my 'friends long drive way' and remembed how many bits its been in , i ment to get some more vids the other day but i was busy driving it lol, will try get some tomorow if its still light when i go out in it
