I've heard so many mixed weather reports for Sunday,

Bbc says it's going to be dry, with a shower around midday

No real issues. Bent second gear selector fork so it wouldn't stay in second. Still had action on the strip practising 60ft times 👍
Was running in the early 11's running 1st to 3rd gear and waiting for boost to come in third haha
So it's waiting for a 9s run now!

thought I recognised the red one but couldn't remember if yours had the gold wheels or not.

also stupid question, why on drag cars are the rear wheels always really thin? is it purely a weight saving thing?

its a little that but its to stop any unnecessary drag so skinnier wheels the better

pvs 2014 update , arrived sat afternoon at 1pm and it was raining but it soon cleared up and was straight out on track , first run id didnt go into 3rd for some reason , went for another run and this time it didnt go into 2nd, came back and investigated it and it would pop out of 2nd gear each time i tried driving it ,me george and allan spend about a hour pulling turret/cables of it and even with the cables disconected and it put in 2nd gear manual it poped out of gear , so guess is last time out when i did the engine damage from missing the gear its bent the 2nd gear selector fork so its not going into gear fully , decided to carry on on the sunday and just go 1st to 3rd, was fun waiting for it to come back on boost but when it did it soon got going , few pics from the day and some i've found of other people , other than that it had no other problems

with my mates zlet i took down

car is not halfway through having the gearbox taken back out only another 40 mins and it will be back out at weekend

Glad it went ok dude. Think it's down to a mixture of the beard and the top mechanic you had helping build the bottom end hahaha
Glad to see the 60ft times coming down too mate.

new billet forks didnt fit as they are f17 ones not f18, still wating for a refund on them now

my gearbox builder put some standard ones back in to get me back out , but we have found a design fault with the gearset , the company had made the groves that the forks sit into to narrow to inprove it , but it didnt and it was bending the forks insted, so email them and they sent me out the old design for free and also new 1st and 2nd gear for free as it had damaged them

old ones and the broken forks

old design with the wider groves

all back together and took it down the road today and it all seams fine

got to pod for 8.30 on saturday only for the track not to open till 11 and they only opened 1 lane as it had rained so bad over night the track was full of standing water , as much as they prepped the track it was terrible with american cars nearly hitting the wall at the end , had a few problems with the gear leaver and cables as the cables are to long so makes the change stiff , gear knob also came of so was having to shift holding the whole of the stick , looking at data logs, gear changers were taking .4 of a sec and its usually .2 so there is 0.6 sec to come of there when i get my new shifter , some pics from the day and a video of my pb run of 10.5

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gksvRufV3I&list=UUjpjLxrNT7Y3LuMnd0sQL4g

going to order my new shifter and get back there on a test and tune day when the track is a lot better
