Went to Vauxhall the other day for some more parts

One of the parts was a new rubber seal for the oil filter sandwich plate

Tried my new air filter aswell

Bay shot - need to make the turbo coolant pipe longer

Fitted my new braided turbo oil feed pipe (if anyone gets one of these get it with the adapter as I needed it for the outlet at the back of the block

New oil catch tank arrived aswell

Thanks Rowey , I was wondering if it was too big but it seems to sit well in the bay.
Bay will look better when the painted rocker and timing belt cover are on

Not so much progress but will lead to more progress.

First up I bought these off eBay - solid 25/8/15
Not so much progress but will lead to more progress.

First up I bought these off eBay - solid mounts cheap style solid mounts are about £170 plus vat
Standard mounts and tiger seal a lot less
Just need to do the drivers side mount

Spotted this on eBay ...

A bolt in OMP cage. I've always wanted a cage but never got round to it.

2 hour 20 trip to Nottingham and it was mine

Going to get it re sprayed as its in an awful color , black with flip flake in it
Bloke I got it off said he had to cut it out of the car (well cut the car)

Anyone had trouble putting them in their cars ?

Coming along nicely mate. Make sure you fab up and put proper plates in to the shell for the cage and not just bolt it through the skin. I've seen that done before

Thanks guys ! I couldn't resist the cage when I saw it , exactly what I wanted.

I'm toying with the idea of having it powder coated or sprayed :s
Any advice ?

Col I had a look through your thread and I'm going to have it done the same way as you've done it.
I'm guessing my door cards will have to go though

I had my cage powder coated

And as for door cards... It just calls for carbon ones

Bit more progress today ! 2/9/15

Picked up my hubs - had Audi bearings fitted

Gave them a lick of hammerite

Fitted

Moved on to the interior next the car had a full interior before ...

But I've stripped most of it out (ready for have the feet welded in for the roll cage
Also gives me chance to properly clean the carpet as its covered in dust

Random engine shot

And the carpet

Hopefully once the cage is in I will be able to cut the carpet where needed (once the feet are welded in)
And have a carpeted floor

That's all for now folks !
