Bought this car 3 weeks ago now. Its got a half decent spec but will be getting a fair few changes made so figured Id start a thread to document it all.

The car as I got it.

Quick spec.
Standard Head and Cams
Forged Rods and Pistons (unknown which ones at mo but im sure ill find out soon)
Nortech Manifold
Nortech 2 1/2inch exhaust
T04E T3/T4 Turbo
External Wastegate
Front Mount Intercooler
Omex 600 Management

FK coilovers
Powerflex Bushes
Front Strutbrace
V6 brakes

Speedline Wheels with Yokohama S Drive Tyres

Astra Gsi Seats
Stripped out rear

All ready im not happy with the way things have been done on the car.
The wiring for the omex and alarm is shocking!
The plumbing needs changing as I currently have no heater matrix to demist when it rains.
It has an FSE presure reg which I just dont trust.
The airfilter is also getting moved to behind the headlight.
I also think the breather tank looks crap so thats going in the bin asap too.

As for new buys iv already got my Stack wideband and boost gauges.

Air filter relocation kit is on order.

Iv got some new wheels coming. 15inch Cesaros and some 7x15 Comps.
Iv got 2 888s arriving today 2 Michelin rally tyres sat in the back of my Fiesta, as well as some part work Dunlop Slicks ready for when I take it to Oulton Park hopefully in October as a birthday gift to myself.

I had planned to buy a Quaife this month for it but its developed a serious running issue so may money may be needed elsewhere. Big thanks to Col004 who has helped me go through various checks on it so far but unforunetly no avail so far.

Any comments or critiscisms welcome

Tim

Well had a chap called Will Pedley come over on Wednesday night to try and help cure my running problem.

What we found was incompetance on whoever made the loom on this car as it bassically fell apart on the map sensor plug.

With this repaired enough to get me going (a new loom is going to get built up very soon )we decided to attach the laptop to the omex, put a probe up the exhaust and take a look at the mapping.
Problem one, ECU requires a password which we dont have, problem two, the fueling is an absolute joke, try 0.68 lambda on idle just for starters Bore wash anybody?

With the password on the ECU we couldnt make any changes unles we was to wipe the map and start again, and as we didnt have a base map (we now do) we decided to leave it be for now. Will is coming down one night next week and we are going to start mapping again so hopefully may still be able to get on track next weekend at FordFair

Pics will be up later of some new bits and bobs

Yes just 288s jamie and standard pads but ATE racing blue fluid. The brakes worked, just they arent that powerful.
The car was great on track, needs a diff though, 3rd gear coming out of the complex was wheel spin every lap.

Dean ill have to take you out in it mate. See what you think.
