Been on a bit of a spending spree in last week.

First off some genuine wiper rubbers ive been searching for ages for. got them from Sweden in the end;

Found a genuine HB mountey steering wheel rather than my bodged Manta one;

Then also bought a mk1 golf splitter, its the right size but not long enough and a bit of the wrong shape so im gona have to make something and that will fit but same shape as the mk1 splitter or may just modify the golf one;

And finally my best bit, over riders that i have been hunting for ages. when I get them there gone straight on to see what they look like;

Now just need to a small rev counter that will look nice and cover a dodgy bit up on the dash.

Cheers, got all bar the wiper rubbers through! The over riders are alot worse than described but ahh well. They all get rechromed when bumpers eventually get done!

Mk1 splitter needs to be cut up and lengthened!

So i attempted lengthening the splitter, tbh not happy at all with it, really hard to get straight and also when i bolted it up, as teh front panel isnt really straight it has pulled it up and made it look a bit cack. gona have to redo it on the car to give it the illusion it is straight. any way;

Full splitter:

Cut in half:

Metal added:

Filler:

Primer:

Fitted:

Now what does everyone think, bare in midn the plate is on the piss anyway. Plate or no plate?

Plate:

No plate:

Also over the past few weeks its had a bit of highlights in the magazines and a paper.

TV:

Classic Car Weekly:

Retro cars:

Got to get it all looking nice for next week as have a photo shoot with it.

Havent updated this in a while but bought some new stuff for the car, starting off with suspension changes:

Guages:

Switches:

Compressors and valves, there is another compressor inside the black box for quicker recharging of the tank:

Bags, just ordered 4 of these from USA so should be here in a few weeks:

Also have sorted the splitter and had a photo shoot since to hopefully be in Retro Cars.

Yes. Between me and my brother we will get it all wangled together. Got a roll over jig that my brother made for when I do fit it so can roll the car over for easy fitting!

Ah yeah I see, tricks of the trade eh. Air ride doesn't look all that bad to fit as my bros just bought a set up for his corsa, although looks like you'll be having a lot more controlls etc with yours, awesome car though bud looking forward to the next few updates

I bought all the stuff off elli at voodoo. He does alot of work on friends cars near you.

It's a 4 way kit so can do all corners indipendantly, should be some fun. Going to take time but will be good one it's done.

May have to make a few body mods but I'll eventually get it done!

Also air ride from and country apart from Britain seems cheap. Just here it's crazy money. Got a tank sorted from a friend aswell so will make a nice feature of it in the boot.

Some of you may have seen but at the end of last year I had some pics taken By Si Gray after Retro Cars took intrest in my car. These were then sold to Retro Cars and they rang me about the feature. This was done and I waited to see in print. Hats of to future media as they sent me 3 copies and 3 large Retro Cars stickers.

Turned out really cool and love it tbh.

Cant really get how good it looks by these pics but its still in the shops.
