Author jailbreak on new iphone update?

if i update my iphone to the newest update will i still be able to have it jailbroken? its jailbroken at the moment if thats any help?

if you update firmware without rejailbreaking it wont be jailbroken anymore

AFAIK there is no jailbreak for the new iOS4 yet

I jb'd my phone after restoring and updating to 4.0 2 days ago. Running abit slower than before but no problems.

if i update my phone to the new ios4 and jailbreak it, will i loose everything i have on there?

Yes but you back it all up via iTunes before restoring so you can put it all back on.

Is it jailbroken already?
If so, go into Rock, Settings - > Manage and scroll down to see 'Backup' (you may need to click it twice and let it backup).
When thats done, run one last backup in Itunes, then update.
Finally, after you jailbreak again, go back into Rock and run restore, it will re-install all your jailbroken apps.

If you don't have Rock and have Cydia then get an app called aptBackup - it will it do a similar job.

Note it will only reinstall your apps not reconfigure them.

i used aptbackup to do this and it caused endless endless problems as most apps are not yet compatible with ios4 so I was constantly on safemode until I restored it again. I would deffo start again with 4 and reinstall separately and check compatibility.There is a jailbreak app compatible spreadsheet i will get link later.
