Nic Barnes = Typical iPhone user, Apples target audience, doesn't want a lot and the phone does everything he needs, I'd say most people including myself fall into this category.

John= wants to fuck about with flash, file types and codecs etc and basically make the phone do something apple doesn't want you to. Seriously dude, stick with android as the iPhone is clearly not designed for you.

I agree completely, it's too locked down, even when jailbroken.

If you want to piss about with angry birds and be able to make the odd complete phone call it's probably really good, but then it costs far too much.

The hardware in the 4 is really good which makes it more frustrating it's so locked down.

Apple makes me lol. Complaining that Fash is a proprietary system but iOS is about as proprietary and proprietary systems can get.

God damn. I dropped my 3GS on Sunday night, smashing the screen. I rang up O2 Insure and a replacement refurb arrived on Tuesday morning. However, the screen had a definite yellowness to it, although anyone who hasn't owned an iPhone the day before probably wouldn't notice, it's only when you compare it to another that you can really see the difference. Basically, white came over more as more like a dirty white.

Anywho, yesterday I rang up O2 complaining about this and managed to snag a brand new 3GS instead, and it's just been delivered today. Thing is, it's EXACTLY THE SAME!

Can I take my new one into an Apple Store?

no idea tbh. maybe update didnt download from apple properly. deleted that from computer, plugged phone back in, clicked restore and instead of different error codes it worked. lost all my phone numbers but the advantages of not having many friends means i only have to put about 10 numbers into my phone, 2 of which are for work.

Barnes you on a pc or mac?

i pissed about abit and managed to add another photo folder yes (pc) i think this is how i did it...

when your phones plugged into itunes, go to the Photos tab at the top, theres an option to sync your photos to a folder on your computer, this became my 'photo library' i chose an empty folder and just put the pics in there i wanted to keep on the phone, then all you take on your camera will be on your camera roll. youl have to put these onto your computer and into the folder you choose to sync your phone with if you want to keep em
