Ok, i dont have a pic, but i will xplain as best i can! Take the filter housing out of the engine bay completely. Turn it upside down. Now figure out which side is furthest from the engine, and drill holes with the largest drill bit you have. There should be a raised part of the airbox, drill along the length of it. It helps to have an airfeed going to these holes to ensure only crisp, cold air is reaching the filter. Read the post at the top of this forum for more info.

Depends on the sound you want. Go for a couple of large holes, say 60mm in diameter to get a real deep throaty roar. Or lots of little ones for a raspy rally car sound.

Remember to only drill holes below the panel, drill the holes on the bottom and side facing wing, space em out evenly. i'd drill 10-20mm diameter holes.

Sorry this is a little big but heres mine -

I've also done my mates box. We did the same size holes but twice as many of them. (about 40 i think)

Just keep below the filter line and away from the warm air from the eng.

Best bet if ure not to sure how many holes to drill is to do a few. Try it. If you want it louder drill some more. When i get 5 mins going to put more in mine.

Any probs U2U or email me. Or just reply here.

Hope this helps.

If I reset my ECU will it affect my central locking or my Toad alarm when I dis connect the battery?

Also, what if you have a crash and then the insurance companies find the holes? I guess there fairly hidden.

There is nothing they can do even if they find the holes! Its NOT illegal. Disconnecting the battery will probably result in your alarn throwing a wobbly, central locking should be fine. Just disconnect your ECU directly. Its behind a panel in the drivers footwell right in front of the bonnet release. Just pull out the 2 plugs on the front and leave overnight.
