ive got both front stuts fitted, front arb and a cav rear arb, dont have a rear strut, the ones that made the most different were the cav rear one (massive difference!) and the front lower one, if you get one of those don't get the cheap alloy ones off ebay, i did and it used to knock on the rear engine mount so i had to wrap some pipe lagging round it to stop it, then it snapped going round a corner a bit too fast lol

got one of those steel ones for £20 (also on ebay) a guy makes them in sheffield near rother valley and its much better but close to the ground (catches the road sometimes )

Little update :

Purchased some 2.0 brakes with carriers ad pads included. Will be changing pads and changing the piston seals.

Still not sure what colour to do them, want to do them a light blue because i think it'll look well behind the silver

Silver.

Also, looking back at strut brace etc, Do up your top mounts, the cup should not be hanging out like that.

I would personally, if you want them to stand out a lot then I'd be going with you but black you won't need to clean as often and if they're silver then they stand out and are subtle.

Obviously that's my opinion, so what ever you do is up to you, they're there to stop you so colour isn't a huge issue in my eyes

Get a pic of roughly how far down the nut is. If they are done up, which I dont think they are, the top mounts are really really fucked
