Does anyone know of any furniture stores which do 0% finance offers, like DFS does with sofas. I think I'll be needing a bedroom set in the next month or so and ideally I don't want to shell out for it all in one go if I can avoid it.

I'm sure I saw an advert for Dreams saying they did it, but I haven't managed to find anything on their website about it. I guess I need to pop down when I get a chance...

Can you not just get a credit card with 0% on purchases?

Not for a large enough amount. I think the highest I'd be allowed is about £500. I've done the sums and even if I had to get a loan out for the furniture it would probably work out better then buying cheap stuff for now and then buying proper later, would just rather do it for free...

Loads of the stores are doing it still. I went in 3 furniture stores last week and all had 0% for 9 months minimum. Can't remember all three, but Harveys were definately offering it instore.

Never thought of Next, so far I've found Harveys and Furniture Village. I think Furniture Village might be a bit out of my price range, though it's rather nice!

I like this one actually:

Need to go measure up the bedroom at some stage to decide if I should get a king or a double. I'm pretty sure I should go with a double though...

Very impressed with Next items Ed. They are a little bit cheaper than Harveys are the quality is just a tad better imo.

I'll be getting my spare bedroom goods from there when the time comes.

Do Next actually do a 0% deal? I've not been able to find much about it on their site, I've only found out about the account which is 26.49% APR ()

Not yet, had a bit of a busy weekend in the end. Need to get it sorted in the next couple of weeks though as some places might specify a 6 week delivery time for some things!

Think I might get this table and chairs from Harveys though:

Glass scratches really easily unless you put a table cloth on it but it would look stupid on that setup...

Looks nice that. I didn't have the space for anything like that though and got a fold up square one from Next. Really decent for £300 sheets.

Have you thought about a 0% credit card and set up a monthly Direct Debit to have it paid off in good time?

I wont get more than about £500 credit on a card. I've seen some bedroom stuff that I quite like in Harveys too so I might get it from there as they seem to do DFS-like deals...

http://www.harveysfurniture.co.uk/products/bedroom/categories/bed-frames/montana-king-size-bed-frame.aspx

Though I can only see a king on there and I want a double...

Bought this stuff. Ex-Display so nice and cheap, only issue is I can't collect for a month so it stays on the shop floor until then

(got the chest of drawers and the tall wardrobe and not the tall chest of drawers)

Got this too:
