My Corsa didn't have it before the crash, nor after with the new bonnet. Had no problems with the little 12v engine.

My sxi didn't, my 1.4 sport didn't but my brothers 1.6 sport did, non went on fire or melted.

took mine off both my corsas and the cav. ATR hasnt got it anyway.

wont make a difference. Also helps engines in the winter, stopping moisture in the engine bay. (like when cars used to have to have a blanket on/under bonnet overnight else they wouldnt start.) e.g. Mk2 escorts
