Bolt holding my abs sensor on is seized and rounded off now, best way to get it off? is there a tool you can get before i smack an imperial socket over it

cut a groove into it and remove like a screw?

i reckon it would just crumble if i done that, think 8mm too small for that

if you snap the head of a boly of you screw it onto the thread and it wonds it out, is it a bolt or a nut your trying to take of?

the sensor bolt on mine tore off, in the end i had to take it to a garage for them to get abit of heat on it and loosen it off with mole grips.

i reckon a 5/16 is the closest smaller size to a 8mm

i snapped the abs sensor on ST so removed the hub and drilled into the middle with a 3 mm drill bit, used a small allen kyey, hammered it in and then unscrewed, jobs a good un

Smear some cutting paste on the bolt then hammer on an imperial/whitworth socket.

or if you have a welder weld a big blob on the bolt and the molegrips will then grip it and the heat from the weld will help it undo

The heat will also make the plastic on the ABS sensor go bye-byes!

lol didnt think about the abs plastic its just what i generally do if i get a siezed bolt first i try a smaller socket then if that fails the welder comes out but obviosly not near plastic
