The Start

okay so when i bought Dæmon in 2005 it was bog standard 1.3 8v.. didn't even have a radio. so the first thing i did was purchase some decent sound.. i dont have any decent pics of must of the things now but as i go i will take more pics.
The motor

Next up was a set of mags

at the time i really liked these but soon decided they were crap.. very wrong offset for the corsa.. et32 they are always rubbing badly.. if i drop the back by 60mm with these on i wont be able to drive at all.. also the clear coat is chipping off everywhere and they just look ugly!!

I also had the exhuast done around the same time 57mm stainless steel free flow.. did't have cash for the branch(which was dumb but i wanted it to sound nice) which it did!! followed by a digital rev gauge and shift light.. boyracer yes.. seeing peoples surprised faces when the shift light comes on as you go past them.. priceless:laugh:---- GONE NOW----
After that there were some small changes which included vauxhall badges, new gearboot colour coded headunit surround, red park globes etc..
since then the badges have been removed..

From the time i bought the car i decided that i was going to do a C20XE conversion.. i spoke to people on the opel owners club SA forum to find out more about it.. until i came across a man known as CORSANOSTRA.. and this is when he helped me decide on the Z18XE.. his car is one hell of a monster!!!
A 1.8 ecotec turbo pushing out 370 odd kilowatts at the wheels.. The fastest (but not the most powerful) street legal opel corsa in SA

My motor done by him..

dyno sheet..

Will add some more later

If you want a warm welcome make a thread in General chat, a progress thread isn't for welcomes

Haha my bad, used to finding a new members section or something!

Steels still need to be banded and painted have some pics i'll add this weekend!

Just waiting on the wheelshop to give me a price for the work..
I might just change my mind and put some 200is fan rims on it instead.. either way it is crying for a drop which i havent done thanks to these ugly ass rims that are on the car and are the wrong offset!

@ lukeD not really sure yet? Was it you that had the black corsa with white steel rims?

@ belton.. i think they look awesome, but so do many other rims! it is damn near impossible to get ronal turbo's and other euro styled rims here in S.A with having to sell your house to pay for them haha

As for the intake. it is standard corsa airbox, with the standard funnel/snorkel or whatever you guys know it as standard corsa rubber pipe with an astra g 1.6 16v tophat inlet pipe.

i see your running a x18xe1 not z18xe (z18xe is elecrtric throttle over here anyway)

but why are you running coil pack and leads, not a disc pack like the 1.8's should have?

Nope definitely a Z18XE.. just did a small conversion to run a cable throttle..

Used the Coil pack and lead as i was using the standard corsa loom so it was a bit easier for the converison.

So i decided to tackle the task of reupholstering my interior here was how it went.. starting with the back seat (the bit you sit on) as its the easiest to get out.. then will move onto the the bit you lean on and then eventually the front seats and door cards..

I'm going to be using vinyl, as leather is a bit too expensive. will redo them in the future if i am really not happy with the vinyl..
So black vinyl for the outer bits, black perforated vinyl for the inserts (where the lame pattern is) and a red piping (still deciding where its gonna go, any opinions?).

started a little earlier and what a damn mission!! there are like 66 little clips that i had to take out to get the fabric away from the sponge seat (they don't show that sh!t on pimp my ride :laugh: )..

Some pics..

Seat Before..

After getting the cover off the foam.. Pretty manky looking!

The Clips..

Next up is to take the cover apart, cut the new panels and then assemble!

did the stitching on the inner panels, also did a test piece with twin topstitch like i wanted. Only thing is now im leaning towards the single topstitch. the twin makes it look flat..

Awesome I f@cking loved that car!!! did you have any issues with rubbing on the back?

Here in SA the roads arent as good as over there! we always have to look out for potholes and what not! So too much stretch on the tryes and alot of -camber is not a good idea. although id love to drop it f@cked i'm not going to just to keep my car safe! going to only do an eibach 35mm drop
think i'll have any issues with 8j at the back?
