Ikea are doing a double bed frame for £40 and the matress for £90.

Matress is dead comfy

We got our SleepEasy memory foam on special offer - was £469 in Tesco on half price + another 50% off (so 75% off original) + 10% staff discount and triple clubcard points on the original £469 = £105 + the clubcard rewards

So easily doable at the right time

All down to personal preference. My 'cheap' mattress is 6 years old and I've never had back problems from it. Nor has it got any dead springs. I also find it comfortable. Don't get why I'd need to spend 4 times what I did when this one is fine.

Nath, your mattress is shit. You know nothing, it's not as if you spend any time on it at all.

Those spending a grand+ are being duped by brand names. NHS spec visco elastic mattresses that are used to treat pressure sores are half that price.

It's awlways better to buy a good matress but you don't need to spend thousands to get a good nights sleep.

I've got a good memory foam one now and although it's good, I never had any problems with cheap mattresses up until then.

As for the bed frame, more money will get you whatever look and probably better put together but I don't see how it functions any different than a cheap one

No Hammer. You HAVE to spend at least a grand. If not you'll be lucky to go to sleep. And even if you do somehow manage to fall asleep you wont be able to walk in the morning.

It's the same as a wall bracket for a telly mate, you wouldn't want to wake up lying on the floor after the poor quality metal snaps same as you wouldn't want a smashed telly

Gutted if you've got a cheap bracket and a cheap mattress, you'll wake up with a broken back and a smashed skull.

The people who buy a cheap bracket AND a cheap mattress are the ones who put a tv directly above their head for it to fall on.

I have a nice bed, but didn't cost that much. It's all down to what you prefer.

tbh, all the evidence is pointing towards Doyle spending 24hrs a day asleep (at least his brain anyway) so he should consider investing a tidy sum on a good mattress.
