often where the seat hooks in at the front, the hook type affair is broken which is very common. this then causes a slight movement in the chair which sometimes you wont really notice but will make a noise.

the one thing i genuinely hate about owning a corsa is all the people that say, oh its only a shit corsa. then when you smash the throttle down and leave 14 miles worth of black 11's on the tarmac blitzing them to fuck while wheelspinning. its all, hows it going mate, whats in that? what you done to it, is it a red top?

fuckin annoying.

The tar that comes with them, and the fact they're really old now and have nothing but problems all round. Cracked B Pillars, rust, etc

If your just talking about physical problems with the car then Cracked b pillars and rusty chassi rails, rust around wiper, infact just rust in general really.and the 1.2 8v engine.

Apart from that there isnt much to really hate about them, its a small car made and bought on a budget so what do you expect? If well maintained they dont have many expensive common isues with them like some other cars. Like head gasket failure, weak gearboxes, expenisve fuel pumps, costly rubbish dual mass flywheels etc. There just basic cars built to a not to shabby standard and offer good value for money

There is the whole other socially effected reason to hate them though, as pointed out alot on this thread like the chav stigma associated with them. And if you want to buy some 'improvements' for your car like a bigger engine people feel the need to say, but its still a shitty corsa

As far as small, cheap cars go the Corsa is fairly good, the cheap tacky interior has improved over the years but the build quality still has a long way to go (in comparison to say bmw). Wasn't the whole point of a corsa to be just a cheap town car?

In terms of performance the quick ones (sport, gsi, sri this is not including the new vxr) are nippy and will easily beat your average car... but this clearly wasn't enough for the owners who tune/modify the cars with engine conversions and modifications made in general... It's all very well putting a bigger engine in the car but the truth is they were never designed for it!

Your average Joe see's no point in modding a car no matter what it is... I told a few guys @ work that I was going to be spending some monies on the civic and they simply replied with "why not just buy a quicker car". So if there's no point in modding a hot hatch, what's the point in modding a small town car? Thats the way the public see most modded cars..
