Ive got some alloys with an offset of 37... Ive been told that these will rub on the rear arches of my corsa when lowered...will adding a spacer help? If you add a spacer does it increase te offset or decrease it?

So if I add a 5mm spacer will it give an offset of 42?

I hope theres some way of gettin em on cos selling them is proving difficult.

Adding a 5mm spacer would make them ET32! There's nothing you can do, other than kick the bloke who sold them to you in the nuts.

They may fit, but not as they should. As Pete said, adding a spacer will take the offset further away from what it should be, your best bet is to lower it, then try one wheel, and see what happens....failing that if wheels are brand new, take them back and exchange them for some that do fit. You also havn't said what size of wheel they are, 15s on that offset should be fine, as should 16s, but 17s and a drop may cause problems, but every car is different, so its a case of trying them out really...

I reckon no hope in hell. I'm usually a fairly optimistic person too.
