What kind of wash do I put on if I don't want colours to run?

Only asking because all of my underwear got absolutely owned the other day, and are now pink / dull.

Wanting to wash a load of coloured t shirts.

On the very rare time that I have done the washing I've never had the colours run. Always have it on 40. That is about the extent of my knowledge of washing machines

Put your machine on at 30 or 40, and separate your clothes don't just put everything in the machine at the same time FFS
