250bhp will probably require around £10k+ thrown at it,290bhp will be a shit load more.

Just fire a shit load of nitrous into it.

A LET running standard psi, is around 200 and as its under no pressure shouldn't go wrong much, if at all.

I say fit 11.5 12v engines in a X configuration.. That will be atleast 533.953bhp and more torques than a WI meeting.

An XE with an F20 won't be much lighter, if at all to the Rover V8. It's an all allu block and cylinder head and only weighs 170kg! I agree that they aren't that powerful as standard, but it's still slightly more powerful than the XE and with just over 200ft/lb torque it will pull MILES better!

Get a 3.9 EFI rover v8 or the newer "4.0L" still a 3.9L updated version, 200bhp a shit load of torque and will be cheaper and easier than to put in a redtop, plus you can get 300bhp+ out of them easy.
