That was the F20 i think. He blew that gb up so got the F18 which really slowed the car top end, but increased acceleration and mid range.

My comment about getting 140+ in a F20 is still correct

Guess the rolling road isnt accurate then.

Whats the max speed of a corsa sport 1.6

I am Getting bored of the 1.4 now.

Anybody fancy sponsering a car engine conversion. A luckyB 250bhp would do

How much is that, its about £10k aint it? I think the 240bhp 1.6 16v job is £12k.

For a Corsa GSi on standard wheels using the info from Haynes... max speed in each gear

1st - 33
2nd - 58
3rd - 88
4th - 111
5th - 140

this is assuming 6800rpm limiter.

Adam what does your car rev to?

Also what gearbox you got? I've taken some pics of my speedo before and they are identical to yours! The revs at those speeds I mean!

Mine pulls 130mph on the clocks at 7000rpm, the rev limiter cuts in at 7200 on the standard car although mine has no rev limiter.
Toyota reckon it will do 158mph deresticted, don't know what the gearing will allow though.
Not that any of that is really relevant to this debate!!
My mate had a GTE 8v, he thought it was the nuts. I had my reservations.

Any ways im runnin F16 box and the limiter is set to 6750, does 135 in 4th on the well lane rollers (not indicated on my clocks) and ive tuck it bast that But dont they drive like shit @ that speed

Yeah, corsas are just not built for that kinda speed. You would feel alot safer in an M3 or something.
