problem is with the smaller ones is, its an excuse for police to pull you over,
also your S looks a little strange on the first pic lol

Get a standard sized one with the ends cut off thats what i've done on the past few cars, looks fine

Tbh with that car the front numberplate looks shit both big and small, it needs to be small enough to not overhang the bottom of the car really (IMO ofc)

Standard Plates with Trimmed Ends;
And on my old car, Standard Plate with Trimmed Ends and Trimmed Top/Bottom;
Neither have had attention from the Fuzz

I run jap size font on my car which is smaller than uk font but still legal. Then if you cut the plate down to have a 11mm border its still legal. Passes an mot fine once the mot test read the dvla law on number plate sizes lol

djgritt - Where did you get the edges trimmed? Or did you buy them like that/do it yourself?
Could do with doing this to mine so the the fmic gets as much cold air as possible. As it's currently obstructing it.

DIY In my works Perspex Model Shop - used a big Bandsaw jobby to do them, then a rotary sander to profile the corners, then a very light smear of Sealer all round to prevent any water ingress
Same method used for both my cars

I always think they look a bit crap on a corsa and other cars that havea big recess for a normal plate.
