Wow thats big

Thanks very much bud.

The picture above is the valve with still a bit of guide on it, and the you can see the mess it made of my piston.
So this being the second egine I've broken , I throught sod it do a rebuild, with bronze guides, and new pistons It would of been cheaper to buy another C20XE but I didn't want it to happen again.
I've been buy up bits slowly since July, and I'm almost done, now just need the head rebuilt, and a Quaife ATB.

I've now got a new edition to my family.

This is it when I first got it.

This is it now, lowered it, Tigra scuttle panel, Astra side repeaters, de-badged, and another set of white five spokes


I also found a ATB ready for the van.

My engine has been bored out, head has been rebuilt, got all new gaskets n stuff, all I need now is a dry weekend to put it all back together. However I may try and get it done over crimbo

This is the van at the moment, lowering the tone of my estate

I hate lifting it up on my drive because I live on the side of a hill, so it's fallen off the stands twice when lifting before

I had a day off today so throught I'd do a bit of work.

I've swapped the Rear ARB from my van, since it's not being used, along with the front strut brace, and lowering spring she's like a go kart

I've also fitted the Irmscher splitter I got from whitegsi the other day.

Here is a really poor picture of my Irmscher rear bumper, on my van.

I'm hoping for it to stay dry, over the next week, then I can build and fit the engine, and get it back on the road. The black one is for looks, but the van is for fun.

that rear bumper looks like a normal pre 97 :S

not a fan at all of that bonnet but apart from that i really like it

I'll get a better picture of the rear bumper when I can move it. The vent is a working one i.e it feeds the bank of carb, with cold air

Nice one thanks Wooly.
I treated the Sport/me to leather seats, pick them up yesterday, and fitted them this morning

I did the rears first, not the best job I know.

The fronts were a bit of a pain i,e you couldn't get a good turn on the ratchet
I was impressed because I plugged them in, fitted the switch and they worked
So yay got heated seats

I've been nice and busy today, built up my short engine, I've moved it down stairs because I don't have a garage, and I need to be able to carry it outside, and thought one flyt of stairs, insted of two, would be easier.

You can see some of the grind, and drill makes from when I had it balanced.

It's the first time I've done anything like this, so hopefully I've done it all correctly, I've even used a torque wrench, and a angle gauge, and everything
All I can say with everything, like crank, rods, and pistons, it's flipping heavy.

It's been raining, so haven't been able to do anything outside, but my nice new head gasket turned up today.

I really want to get the van back on the road, because the Sport is too slow

thats were you have gone wrong then. you need to use the corsa frame, and the foam and leather off the calibra
